<p style="text-align: justify;">If you don't believe you set your own limits you need to rethink your workouts, job and maybe even your life strategy. While I agree you can't just decide you can fly and lift off the ground I also don't think anyone with a shred of sense can deny we all set artificial limits for ourselves and just accept that we can't go further or do more beyond those points. Ultimately, we decide when we stop or quit when doing something or pursuing a goal and more often that not that point is far from what we are truly capable of. Navy Seal training, some of the hardest in the world, commonly operates on a 20x maxim. They believe that the mind begins to reason, negotiate and make excuses for coming to a stopping point that is in reality some 20x further on from where it is currently trying to get you to quit.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">I know, I know, you are saying to yourself that 20x further than where you quit in your workout or goals is the exclusive providence of someone who CAN be or IS a Navy Seal and that just isn't you. Maybe, maybe not, but either way there is most definitely some number in front of that x that definitley applies to you and your generral effort as of late (perhaps for your whole life).</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">I think the holiday season is the perfect time to do a self-assessment and look around you. I don't care who you are there is someone with bigger obstacles going harder and doing more. Never forget that and try to be that person for someone else. Inspire and aspire, don't make excuses, reason or negotiate with yourself for why you have already done enough.</p>
