A New Week with a Cold Start..
Monday, February 15, 2010 at 12:07PM Freezing temperatures and windy conditions made it a perfect morning to sleep in and not train. That isn't what happened for the majority out at the Forge though! We trained and are still at it.
A little note on nutrition and body composition -
If you are trying to lean out or are advising a client about leaning out you may want to reconsider any kind of protein shake in your nutritional program, low carb or not. As a matter of fact, technically speaking, low carb shakes are pointless...
If you are advocating the absence of bread, pasta, rice and all other starches of the like and also abstinence from sugar and sweets in general then you, for the exact same reason, should want to avoid protein shakes (of a certain type) or you are completely undoing yourself or your client.
They definitely have their place as a tool for a particular purpose but if body composition is already an issue or if leaning (no matter where you are IF it's outside of where you want to be) is the focus then they are misplaced indeed.
