But what is that? What is <em>CrossFit</em>? What does that mean for you?<br /> <br /> <strong>Constantly varied functional movement...</strong><br /> Life tends to be random. No explanations, no preparations, just boom you're in the middle of whatever it is and moving forward full steam. This could be a work task, a life-and-death emergency, a fight for your safety or the safety of a loved one, or just 'play time' that became more than you bargained for very quickly. Life doesn't warn us but it is pretty obvious from the demands of life that everything we do is in the functional plane, not with us strapped into some machine or lying or twisted in some odd way on a bench or ball isolating a single muscle. It involves us in some form of movement that is elemental to the way we function in our daily environment using the body and its unique set of levers in the way it was designed to be used. <br /> <br /> <strong>at high-intensity...</strong><br /> At Crossfit Saints Forge we seek to teach you those elemental movements and help you reconnect with the joy and fluidity of movement you had as a child. Once you have mastered them on a foundational level we then aspire to bring to those movements an intensity unlike that you have applied to them before to elicit a response that will get you working at peak levels and bring about the most rapid adaptation to fitness you have ever seen. We intend to do this across all of the body's energy pathways giving you the most broad, general and fully inclusive elite level of fitness possible and in the shortest time frame with the highest return on investment in the industry. Nothing will become mundane; everything will change, including you. <br /> <br /> <strong>across broad time, modal and age domains...</strong><br /> In accordance with the randomness of life we also never know what length or span of time our tasks will fall so we train across all time domains; from 4 and 7 minute high power all out exertions to 15 and 20 minute pure metabolic conditioning sessions (forget everything you think you know about cardio) and mixtures that fall in between. We do this with all types of movements from weightlifting, gymnastics, power lifting, plyometrics and mono-structural (read running, biking, rowing, swimming) to develop and maintain this elite level of fitness for you at any age and help you keep it for the rest of your life. </span></p>
