Manifesto

Where the sweat turns to blood.. That's where I live

Where the pain starts to take on a voice and talk to you.. that's where I am

Where your vision narrows and the color leaks out, leaving you with black & white.. That is where I thrive

Where the air becomes heavy and you swear you are going to drown in it but can't get enough into your lungs.. that's where you'll find me

Where others quit.. Where others stop.. Where others give up.. You will find me there and you will find me still sweating, still in pain, without sight, unable to breathe, still on my feet..

When you get there you will know me.. I will be the last man standing

I am Crossfit

Indomitable Spirit

Indomitable -

[ɪnˈdɒmɪtəbəl]adj (of courage, pride, etc.) difficult or impossible to defeat or subdue

[from Late Latin indomitābilis, from Latin indomitus untamable, from in-1 + domitus subdued, from domāre to tame]

You can be stopped - or you can become unstoppable.
You can be contained - or you can become uncontainable.
You can relent to life's pressures and problems - or you can become relentless.

It's your choice.

Cold beans this morning : )

You know how the the weather man says one thing, but the temperature does something else. Like drop about 5 or so degrees colder than expected? Yeah, so, cold beans.

All in all a great morning though!

This song just resounded with me and the energy at the Forge this morning

"To be a warrior is not a simple matter of wishing to be one. It is rather an endless struggle that will go on to the very last moment of our lives. Nobody is born a warrior, in exactly the same way that nobody is born an average man. We make ourselves into one or the other."

Weekend at the Forge

We had a great turnout Friday and Saturday. The girls from RSVP are getting into things with a little help from another member who has been showing them the ropes. Thanks Jen!

A lot of things get lost in translation it seems. We try to teach the use of a tool to people but sometimes they just don't want to learn. They would rather it just be done for them or that they should not have to think about how to use it. They focus on little things they think are important only to miss the big picture altogether.

Like someone focusing on a detail of business that they regard as highly significant (and it may or may not be) but it is only significant in light of the furthering of the business. Now imagine the person making this detail the focus while neglecting the fact that the business was growing or expanding rapidly (apparently due to some other reason/s since this one detail is lacking). This is straining out a gnat yet swallowing a camel, as pointed out to me by a very enlightened friend this weekend. Thanks B! (I told you that quote was going up on the site, lol)

Sometimes people mix up what is important. We focus on things rather than people and processes rather than results. In my experience I have yet to see even one exception to this rule: people always trump things and results beat processes - hands down.

“But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

-2 Corinthians 12:8-10

(Paul was the MAN btw)
